I was diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum in early December of 2016. It was a late diagnosis at the age of 58. I believe I would still be in the dark if it hadn’t been for my substitute teaching assistant job. Most of my assignments are for special education classes. My suspicions were raised when often observing some of “me” in the children on the spectrum. I did the research, on-line testing, doctor consultation, and confiding in teachers of autistic students. This site is my outlet for telling my story. I hope I provide information, comfort, and laughter for those like myself and those who know someone like me.
